A young fox, lured by the sweet smell of uneaten Custard Creams left on a picnic plate was to change my life forever. You may be startled by this opening statement. You may even find it surprising that foxes have a sweet tooth. Well, imagine my surprise, because, before that fateful day, I didn’t know much about foxes at all, let alone what their favourite after-dinner nibbles were. Yes, I’d seen pictures of them, but, never really bothered to take any notice, that is, until the day, that this, sweet-toothed fox, after snuffling down the last tasty morsel of what had been a yummy picnic, then, and, purely as an afterthought you understand, decided I would make a nice little take-home present for his cubs to play with!
Well, I can tell you, that was the day we both ended up getting more than we bargained for, and also the day, everything changed.
After, unceremoniously grabbing and transporting me away from my carefree and comfortable life, he hurtled me head first, quite
literally, (I will save you, your blushes and mine as to what part of me he had grabbed) into an adventure that found me, alongside those I loved, forging an unbreakable bond, not only with my hapless abductor but also the inhabitants of his strange and beautiful world, a kingdom I had previously only glimpsed, from afar. There, I learned the survival of their ancient home stood upon a knife edge, with the clock ticking.
So, alongside those I loved and my new found friends, it was decided we join forces to find a way to tell their story because they need your help. You see, if their world should fall, then ours will surely follow, such is the balance between our two lands. They are entwined.
