Writing about one’s comings and goings is, far more complicated than you might expect. Especially after being reliably informed that if I called my project Holotherbar’s diary or journal, you would anticipate me writing about something new on a daily basis. So after much consideration, I decided to disregard both titles as this implication was quite out of the question, not just because it would almost certainly be too much for my brain and paws to cope with, but more importantly, because I’m a bear and a busy one at that!

But what to call it? On one paw I needed a title while on the other paw, a much larger problem started to loom. How to deal with the dreaded blank page. Luckily for me, Isobel came to my rescue. She told me whenever she was confronted by a blank page, she always did a little scribble or doodle in the corner of it, she said it made her feel like she and the page had become friends, and they were both now ready for what lay ahead. And that was as they say that!

Scribble not only sounded friendly but also, in Latin, meant to write. So, Scribbles alongside my doodles (another good word) summed up quite nicely my idea of what a non-diary account of my comings and goings should look and sound like. Scribbles and Doodles—Ta Da! Perfect!
