Thought for the day
STRANGE BUT TRUE.
Did you know that you know what you don’t know, and you know that because you don’t know?
So, my advice is that as soon as you realise what you don’t know, you should ask someone if they know, and if they do and they tell you, you will then know, and can cross that don’t know off your list and move on to the next one.
Books are also very helpful and hold a lot of knowledge about what you don’t know, and are written by someone who thought you should know what you didn’t know, so they happily wrote it down. Which, in my humble opinion, is a very kind thing to do.
Just the other day, I knew that I didn’t know who invented books, so I read a book. When I found the answer—and this is the best bit—I also found out more things I didn’t know, that I didn’t even know, that I didn’t know! For example, there is a book called ‘Voynich Manuscript’. It is an illustrated book handwritten in an entirely unknown language, and no one so far has been able to make sense of it!
So in short, it’s always best to ask and read about what you know that you don’t know, that way you will always be able to know what you don’t know and be delighted by the surprises you find along the way. It’s all very simple when you think about it.
